The HIV Pack gives children access to life-saving medication
For children living with HIV, medication is the difference between life and death.
When treatment is taken every day, children can grow up, attend school and live active lives just like other children. But if treatment is interrupted, the immune system weakens and the risk of serious illness rises quickly.
Several children at Land of Hope are living with HIV. They all receive treatment, and their medication is essential to both their survival and quality of life.
For many years, international aid programmes provided free HIV medication to millions of people across Africa. However, in 2025, major reductions in international funding left many vulnerable people without access to the treatment they depend on.
This also affects the children at Land of Hope.
As a result, Land of Hope must now purchase HIV medication for the children who are living with the virus.
The HIV Pack helps ensure that this medication remains available, so no child risks having their treatment interrupted.
