Victoria was only 6 years old when she and her siblings, Grace and William, were accused of being witches and held captive by their uncle. What began as a childhood marked by fear and rejection became the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Today, Victoria is a strong, compassionate, and determined young woman. She is one of the top students in her class and works hard to build the future she dreams of. She is also a talented athlete. In May 2025, she won a bronze medal at the Grand Finale MTN Athletics Championship and is currently ranked as the third-best long jumper in Akwa Ibom State.
Victoria is admired not only for her achievements, but also for her caring nature. Over the years, she has shared a special bond with Anja’s son, David Junior, and even today she looks after him like a big sister.
Victoria’s story is a powerful reminder that a child’s future does not have to be defined by their past ❤️
Children’s Art
We use art education as a therapeutic tool in our work with the children’s mental health and emotional well-being.
For many of the children, talking about their trauma is difficult. Art classes provide a safe space where they can express feelings and experiences that are hard to put into words. Some children paint scenes from their past, while others focus on their dreams and hopes for the future.
What they all have in common is their remarkable talent. Many of the children have won art and talent competitions across Nigeria.
